To all freshmen, transfers, graduate students, international students, and other prospective members: Welcome to Texas Cycling!!! Here, you’ll find information about our club, what we do, and how to get involved.
Curious where to begin? Here’s a little help:
“Who, and what are we…?”
Texas Cycling is a social club and a club sport? We’re a network of riders that ranges from enthusiasts and commuters to racers who compete in Collegiate Nationals and UCI sanctioned races. We like to think of ourselves as a “network of riders” that facilitates, and improves, cycling at UT Austin. To learn more, check out the about page, where you’ll meet our awesome new officer team.
“So… What do we do?”
With our broad array of interests and disciples, we kind of do everything. On the social side of things, we host socials, watch races together (Vuelta, anyone?), and go on a variety of food rides, such as The Wafel Ride, Quack’s rides, and plenty of pizza rides.
On the club sport side, we compete in the South Central Collegiate Cycling Conference (SCCCCCCCCCC….) in track cycling, mountain biking, cyclocross, and road racing.
And, last but not least, we have the Shoal Creek Shootout, our weekly team ride on Friday’s at 5:20pm. If you’ve got a bike, a helmet, and water, you’ll be good to go.
